Black Sea coast
A port town in southeast Bulgaria, surrounded by wild beaches and pine forests.
Tsarevo lies in southeastern Bulgaria, where the Strandzha mountain descends to the sea. It's the first port on Bulgaria's southern coast - declared international in 1995 - and its setting on three small peninsulas and four bays gives it a uniquely jagged, scenic profile.
Within easy reach are five distinct beaches, ranging from the city-central Tsarevo Beach to wilder coves like Arapya and Oasis. The surrounding nature - protected wild beaches and dense pine forests - makes the area as appealing for hiking and exploring as for swimming.
